Founded in 1987 and incorporated in 1989, SETEC, Inc. has been helping it's clients improve their accessibility solutions for years. Currently, there are eight principal associates working in the organization each with expertise in the elevator industry. Therefore, clients can count on SETEC, Inc. associates to have extensive hands-on experience and expertise with all aspects of the elevator trade.

Tom Harrison, Founder and Senior Associate, is a forty year veteran of the industry. Tom designed an elevator safety device and is co-owner of the safety patent for elevator door restrictors, which are sold and used throughout the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Harrison is well entrenched in the elevator business, being the fourth generation in his family to invest an entire career in the elevator industry.

It is Tom's high regard for science and technology that allows SETEC, Inc. to mold solutions to meet clients unique and specific accessibility needs. Tom's expertise and love for the engineering sciences extends beyond the office to include outreach opportunities with the community. Tom volunteers his talents to the enrichment of our community and youth through taking active roles in numerous community based research institutes to include the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities, North East Environmental Team, Society of Ecological Restoration, Texas Environmental Education Association, and the Texas Science Education Leadership Association.
